The Last of the Mohicans - Catherine Wilhelm

I chose this book because I love the film soundtrack, and it appealed to me more than any of the other books on the list.

This book was a great read, and used many words from the SAT vocab list! It was boring at the start, due to his droning on about the setting, but when it picked up the action, suspense, drama, and thrill was definitely brought out in full. The ending I did find depressing, spoiler alert, but much better than a lot of cheesy endings books have now.

Unlike you, Catherine I had no idea of what the book was prior to selecting it and reading the description. I will agree that it is a challenging book with a lot of advanced vocabulary words. I think the great thing about the book was that the more you read the easier it was to understand and comprehend what was was going on in the story.
Although the first quarter of the book were insanely confusing and boring I found that it was actually a pretty good book by the end of it.

My book as well was also rather confusing to read at first, as there was so much information to store at once, and many facts that you had to learn. The author also seemed to go on for a long bit about the introduction, but it later became interesting and I could not put it down as the story thickened. -Comment by Michaela Paul
